In clammy weather, Bowden cables, filters, rails and locks outdoors may ice up. Infrared emitters with a special-design sealing protect them against icing quickly and energy-efficiently. The IP 65 infrared emitters transmit heat without contact and in a well controllable way and are reliably sealed against dust and splash water.
Infrared emitters consist of insensitive and shock-resisting quartz glass and are, therefore, very well suitable for use outdoors. The electrical connection of such IR emitters is routed into a terminal box via a special sealing. VDE in Offenbach has subjected the system to tests lasting several days and it proved to be dust-tight and splash-proof.
